The ITS World Congress will hold its largest ever Student Day on Wednesday, October 19 and Thursday, October 20 2011. By holding this two day event, the World Congress hopes to encourage networking and information sharing between transportation professionals from around the world and those who will follow them—our high school, university, and graduate students who have shown or declared an interest in the field of transportation.
- The ITS World Congress will offer free admittance to university and graduate students and to local (chaperoned) high school classes, to the Exhibit Hall and Technology Showcase (in the Convention Center Parking Lot) on Wednesday, October 19 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and Thursday, October 20 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.
- Lunch (at 12:30 pm) and US Department of Transportation sponsored session—Becoming a Transportation Professional—to be held in the Exhibit Hall Theater on Thursday at 1:30 pm and followed by a “Meet and Greet” with leaders from the ITS Community.
- Free posting of resumes and dissertations on the ITS America electronic Job Board managed by Job Target and in a designated meeting room on the Exhibit Hall Floor.
- If they wish, students are welcome to sign up as a full registrant for only $145 to the World Congress with all the rights and privileges to attend all program sessions, receive lunch coupons, and have access to the Exhibit Hall and Technology Showcase for the duration of the conference.
Students are invited to register in advance for this important event. University undergraduate and graduate students may do so by clicking here Student Day to open and print the registration form.
